2019 Sheriffs' Summer Camp Wish List

12/6/18, by Chris O'Brien NYSSI Executive Director

We expect another 900 children from across New York State to attend the Sheriffs' Summer Camp on Keuka Lake again next summer. The New York State Sheriffs' Institute provides a no cost camp experience to children who may otherwise not get a chance to attend summer camp. When working with kids there are countless amounts of laughter and fun, but also wear and tear on equipment and gear. If you're looking for an organization to donate to this holiday season, please consider our Sheriffs' Summer Camp Wish List. All donations can be coordinated through our Albany office by calling (518) 434-9091. Here are some things that are needed:

  • Quality camera to capture camp pictures to be used in slideshows and on our website
  • Small digital cameras or old smartphones to be used by kids during photography class

  • Used Hobie 14’s or 16’s catamarans
